Ella, the most beautiful scenic place in Sri Lanka
Ella is a small town in Badulla district with spectacular view of lovely mountains. If you are nature scenic lover, it is one of the must see place in Sri Lanka. We started our journey from Colombo, there are trains running from Colombo Fort to Ella, it takes around 12 hours to reach the destination. Expo rail is recommended because it has open deck facility where you can sit/stand and enjoy your journey. By sipping a cup of tea and enjoying the nature is something that we cannot express it. It is an experience every body must try this.
Beautiful tea estate, photo taken on the way to lipton seat, a great drive through tea plantations. It is located above Dambethenne tea estate, Hapatule. Lipton seat is named after the scottish tea barron Sir Thomas Lipton who used to sit and look out over this empire.

The only hotel available in Lipton seat. You can have hot tea and roti with chilli sambol, though it is very spicy it will go extremely well for this climate :)
