Jaffna is located in the nothern part of the Sri lanka. The city is surrounded by Lagoon to its west and south, Kokkuvil and Thirunelveli to the north, and Nallur to the east. The temperature is highest in the months of April - May and August – September. The temperature is coolest in December – January.
City is surrounded by lots and lots of traditional Hindu temples and also catholic Churches. Jaffna, is like a village but you wont say as a village after you look at the university campus and colleges.
YES, they have very big university campus, even colleges too. I also like to tell about the houses. Most of the houses have beautiful garden infront, some they even have Neem tree, coconut tree,plantain,pomogranate,.... and backside you will find a well(they use well water for drinking purposes). I found lot of similarities between jaffna and kerala.

The model of houses, fence, temples and also the food habit resembles Kerala. Here in jaffna they wont prepare a food without coconut; if you look at kerala instead of coconut they use coconut oil. Most of us know in kerala puttu is famous; same way in Jaffna also..
